Allamanda House is a cozy family home in the Arumeru District, about 15km from the city centre of Arusha town. It is set in a lush garden in a greenish local village. The house has a view of Mount Meru and surrounding forests and village. The house has a cozy living/dining room, one sleepingroom with ensuite bathroom and another sleepingroom with bathroom next door. A fully equipped kitchen is available too. In the garden you'll find a verandah and outdoor seating area. For the children, we have swings and a large grassy field to play on. If you want to self-cater, Usa River, which is five minutes away, has many good grocery stores. Arusha NP is a 15 minute drive away from the house and there are several nearby places to visit like Lake Duluti, Meru waterfalls and Arusha town. The other known safari destinations like Tarangire, Manyara and Ngorongoro crater are just a three hours drive from our house. The hosts of Allamanda, Ben and Marion, offer tourism activities including safaris, mountain trekkings and beach safaris in Tanzania.

The village of Kilala is a typical local village at the foot of Mount Meru. The main tribe in Kilala are the wameru. Makumira University is next door, so there are many students in the area.
