It’s the perfect spot to relax, recharge, and feel like part of the family. I live here with my wife Theresa and our two little ones—HollyHeven (8) and Leon (4). Stay local, feel at home Our homestay is tucked away in the charming village of Maji ya Chai, just a bit outside of Arusha town. It’s a peaceful and very safe neighborhood where you can experience real local life while still being close to everything you need. We’re just a 2-minute walk from the main highway, where you can easily catch a daladala (local bus) to town or nearby areas. There are plenty of small shops, local markets, and friendly pubs around—perfect if you want to grab a snack, some essentials, or just chill with a cold drink and meet the locals. Need to get around? Taxis and boda bodas (motorbike taxis) can pick you up right from our gate, and we’re happy to help you organize transport. We also offer airport transfers to/from Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport—just let us know in advance. Guests love the mix of convenience, culture, and calm here.
