Alpine Log Cabin is a real log cabin with all modern conveniences. You have the private use of the entire cabin. It's completely furnished with everything you need to begin a short stay (2 nights minimum), or weekly vacation. Appliances are provided along with bedding, linens & pantry staples. The kitchen has a stove, oven, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, & dishwasher. There is a full-size washer & dryer. The game room has a pool table. poker table, fooseball, magnetic dart board, plastic kiddie bowling set and two arcade machines, each with eight games for lots of exciting fun. Outside is a propane firebowl perfect for barbeque hotdogs, making s'mores or popping popcorn.There are 3 bedrooms -- the ensuite master and one main floor guest room have queen beds and 1 bedroom has 2 twin beds. Our back deck offers spectacular sunrises and gorgeous mountain views year round. Our front porch is set up to hold both winter skiis or snowboards so they are stay dry. We allow no more than 6 guests total including children. We allow you to bring a dog. There is an extra charge for the extra cleaning and sanitizing needed - some of our guests are allergic to pet hair & dander. We do not allow cats. There is a wide assortment of channels on our smart TVs plus free Netflix movies plus 2 DVD players with family favorite DVDS. Fireplace logs start with the flick of a remote. Every room has a large ceiling fan and at 4000 feet elevation you will not miss air conditioning. There is FREE high-speed Wi-Fi internet plus FREE local & long distance calling (in the US). Just bring food, beverages, clothes, personal items & a sense of adventure! We stay very busy with guests all year. Please plan your stay so a cancellation is not necessary.

Alpine Log Cabin is conveniently located between the thriving hometown cities of Boone and Banner Elk, North Carolina. It is also close to Blowing Rock and Valle Crucis, NC. The cabin is situated on the Blue Ridge Mountains (including the iconic Blue Ridge Parkway) in Northeastern North Carolina. It is surrounded by woods and completely private. During the Winter the area is famous for snow skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, snow tubing, snow shoeing, and cross country skiing. In the Spring the flowers arrive with a blaze of color and rainbow trout just beg to be caught for supper. Summer has golfing, boating, swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, tubing, water skiing, fly fishing, gem mining, rock climbing, bicycling, hiking, along with numerous other summer activities such as Blue Grass concerts. The Fall season brings the changing of the leaves and the mountains turn into an spectacular blaze of color in October.
