Walk to Madd Creek and Red Dirt Trails, which are excellent for hiking into the Zirkel Wilderness area. A sports field and children's playground are right across the street. Use the three cruiser bikes at the home to travel the town bike path and the mountain bike connector loop to Steamboat, and visit Storm Peak and Butcher Knife breweries. From museum and historical tours of the Yampa Valley, to helicopter sightseeing tours and hot air ballooning, there are plenty of fun, unique ways to explore Steamboat. Keep your eye out for competitions and ski races, and check out the excellent sledding nearby, as well as the beautiful walking area at the end of the neighborhood. Of course, there's top-notch downhill skiing and snowboarding, as well as fat tire snow biking, ice fishing, and dog sledding. Steamboat is known for its special events throughout the year, including Winter Carnival, Steamboat Marathon, Steamboat Wine Festival, and Steamboat OctoberWest, to name just a few.
