LOCATION We love Smallwood — a peaceful and friendly lake community filled with charming log cabins dating back to the 1930s and '40s. Here you'll find a beautiful lake, a scenic waterfall, a forest reserve with hiking trails, two restaurants (one is only open seasonally), and even a post office. A leisurely walk around the lake takes about 40 minutes, offering a perfect way to soak in the natural beauty of the area. The surrounding Catskills region is an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise, offering endless activities year-round. Enjoy swimming, hiking, canoeing, boating, tubing, rafting, fishing, cycling, and horseback riding in the warmer months, while winter brings opportunities for snow tubing, skiing, and snowboarding. Whether you're looking for adventure or relaxation, Smallwood is the perfect retreat.
