Company information

We love animals and people. Along with our guest comfort and happiness, we center our extra time by operating a full time large animal rescue & sanctuary, and take in animals and livestock from cities, our state and federal agencies and private citizens to rehabilitate and re-home. Looking around our ranch you will see buffalo, horses, longhorn cattle, rabbits, dogs, cats, chickens and an abundance of deer and sometimes elk. We have homed over 300 animals through our years at Lonesome Dove Ranch.

Property information

We pride ourselves on our service and compassion to our guests stay with us. We have comforatble facilities centered in an incredibly beautiful wooded area, close to town, yet at the base of the wilderness. We offer an experience of Montana's Western Hospitality, compbined with conveniences, good food and the friendliest staff you could find. It is peaceful, yet fun, with beautiful hiking and riding trails. We are "The Heart of Western American" and all about you!

Neighbourhood information

Only 15 minutes from town, we are at the base of the Wild Horse Mountains, adjoining millions of acres of wilderness. You will feel the wooded splendor with easy access and without a long drive. Our ranch is adjoined by timber companies, national and state lands, compiling 20,000 acres to hike or take a trail ride on. It is a photographers dream!
