This newly renovated farmhouse is a definite “Mountain Jewel.” Located just across from Jefferson Landing Golf course, 5 minutes from the New River, 10 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, and close to the towns of Jefferson, West Jefferson, Boone and Wilkesboro, it is in the heart of the High Country. As soon as you arrive at “Mountain Jewel” the first thing you will notice is the babbling stream that boasts mountain trout. A mountain view is also awaiting you from the front porch swing. Step inside and you will find an updated home with modern touches that still pays tribute to the past. The living room features an electric log fireplace with a beautiful antique mantle and flat screen TV with internet channels for your viewing pleasure. A comfy loveseat and chair offer a place to curl up and watch a good movie or just relax. WiFi is provided throughout the home, and several board games for you to enjoy. Upstairs above the living area, is Louis' loft, a tribute to the owner's grandfather, featuring desk for those that need to stay caught up on work while on vacation. Louis was an world renowned stamp collector and the owner graciously provides postcards with stamps for guests to drop a note to a loved one while on vacation. A cozy chair is also available to curl up and read a good book. The spacious eat-in kitchen offers stainless steel appliances, a farmhouse sink that overlooks the stream, Keurig coffeemaker, and a dining table for four. A dishwasher makes for quick cleanup. The main level also features two bedrooms. The first one features a queen bed and a flatscreen TV. There is a shared hall bath with tub/shower combo. In the hallway, there is a stackable washer and dryer for your convenience. The second bedroom features a king bed with its own private bath with shower.
