Welcome to "Seclusion in the Rocky Mountains”! The cabin is nestled in the heart of the picturesque Colorado National Forest. This private and peaceful retreat offers you an unforgettable escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. From the moment you arrive on the private 80 acre M Lazy C Ranch you’ll be transported back to the old west. Sit on the porch & watch for elk, antelope, deer, or the occasional moose. Perfect for romantic retreats, family vacations, holiday celebrations. Welcome to the Historic 1906 Homestead cabin! The cabin can comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests. The spacious living room, dining area, and fully-equipped kitchen create a welcoming atmosphere. Relax by the cozy wood burning fireplace, enjoy the comfortable seating area. The main level also features a Queen-sized bedroom with fire place, and one full bathroom. The second floor features two twins bed and a pull out twin bed, and half bathroom. Apart from the wood burning fireplace, the unit comes furnished with portable heaters as needed to keep you warm throughout your stay. The house is private but is located in a historic ranch (MLazyc Ranch). The ranch has 7 other cabins located nearby but are all separate and private units. The water is not potable (not drinkable). It is safe for taking showers and for cooking. We will provide bottles of water upon arrival. We provide 7 wood logs for free for the fire place but after that we charge one dollar per log. We have UTV rental at the property from April 1 to October 15, horseback riding, sleigh rides (coming soon). If you look at our website M Lazy C website, you will see the calendar of events. We are pet friendly with the exception of certain breeds like Pit bulls, German Shepherds, and Rottweilers. 4x4 vehicle will be needed during winter months due to terrain conditions when it snows. It’s hard to say there is a neighborhood because there are no other ranches within miles. Our "driveway" (CR 453) is directly off of highway 24 which allows you easy accessibility for emergencies and convenience. Close by, 5+ miles are two convenience stores, post office, one bar/restaurant, two sit down restaurants, Mountain Burger, one sandwich place and one gas station. We are surrounded on three sides by the Pike National Forest with private entrances into the forest. The log cabin is located straight of head on the main entrance (you may see UTV’s on main road and recreation center) Each cabin will have it's own unique name (homestead) Parking space is available in front of the property.
