Old Hollywood Lodge combines vintage glamour with a rustic flair, yet with all of the modern amenities to make you feel right at home, and an enormous fenced yard that your pets will love! Enjoy stunning views from our decks, and hear the burros calling from the close-by meadows. Luxuriate in our hot tub and sauna, or a soak in our clawfoot tub, and finish off with a cozy snuggle in front of the fire under the ambient light of twinkling chandeliers. (6 miles to Bear Mountain & Snow Summit!)
I am an actor, dancer, and entrepreneur living in Los Angeles, California. I love to travel, create, and host events that bring a smile to the faces of the patrons in attendance. One of the styles of dance that I enjoy is vintage burlesque, and I love everything vintage in general, so that's what inspired the theme for my Old Hollywood Lodge. My goal is to create an experience that transports my guests away from the the hustle of "real life", leaving them happy, rejuvenated, and inspired. Every time I get a stellar review from a guest that loved staying at my place, I just get so happy, and do a little dance by myself! Big Bear has become so special to me, I love the beautiful drive, skiing at the resorts, and of course karaoke at Murray's Saloon in the village! It's been so great to have a space to spend quality time with friends and family away from busy city-life in LA. I love staying at unique BnB's that are creatively decorated and have a lot of care put even into the little details. I believe where you stay is a huge part of your trip! :)
Old Hollywood Lodge is located in Shea Meadows, which is known for it's native wild burros (donkeys) that you can hear hee-hawing in the distance throughout the day. The Lodge sits on a giant 11,000 square foot lot and conveniently right off the 38 highway, which is the route locals use because it's the most scenic road in & out of Big Bear, with limited/no traffic in any season, away from the crowds, and also less windy than the 330. A short 5-15 min drive to the lake, Big Bear Snow Play, Bear Mountain, Snow Summit, Alpine Zoo, Discovery Center, grocery stores, golf course, Village shopping area, the airport and more.
