Takoma Park, located in Maryland, is immediately outside and a suburb of Washington DC. The area is a vibrant and diverse city known for its rich history and progressive community. Nestled near the border of Washington, D.C., it offers a mix of suburban charm and urban convenience. The city is famous for its tree-lined streets, historic homes, and strong emphasis on environmental sustainability. With a blend of cultures and a strong arts scene, Takoma Park is a welcoming and inclusive place that celebrates its unique character through local events, markets, and community initiatives. There are three bus routes to DC, Silver Spring downtown and other notable locations that can be accessed from the bus stop immediately in front of the home. The train is accessible and a 5-7 minute ride from the house. A two minute walk to many restaurants, farmers markets, grocery stores, wine and bourbon shops, dry cleaners, pharmacies, banks and even a healthy food co-op.
