Royce’s Outpost, a cabin suitable for 4 guests with a spacious backyard for just hanging out by the fire. Grab friends and/or family to chill in the up north. The cabin is set in a quiet neighborhood with neighbors on all sides but secluded enough you feel you are in the woods. There is even a working outhouse when your loved ones are taking too much time in the bathroom. Just a couple blocks away is the gas station, a hardware, and the famous Ma Deeters! Trails are just around the corner. Cabin details: There is no Central AC but there is a window AC in the living room as well as an osculating fan for your use. Cabin has one step up into the main area from the front entrance. It is not wheelchair accessible. There are two bedrooms (one queen, one full with a roll away twin bed for use upon request).

Born and raised in Northern Lower Michigan, moved away for 20 years to experience the city life and then moved back to be by family. I remember traveling over Zilwaukee Bridge thinking to myself “ah, it already feels like home” and that is just the feeling I want you to have at my place. I hope it gives you that same feeling of relaxation, peacefulness and serenity. I lived in Oscoda County for 23 years and when I returned to northern Michigan, I wanted to give opportunity for you to enjoy the experiences that surround the area. I live about an hour away. I provide several options for reaching out to me and would greatly appreciate it if you contacted me with concerns so I have a chance to address them. My neighbors are amazing. Feel free to chat with them, they love getting to know my guests. The family in the little brown cabin next door is Randy, Lisa and Johnny. The neighbors directly across the street are Rodney, Nicole and Brody. Ma Deeters is the place to eat! Under newer ownership and the food is amazing. I recommend the quesadillas and their guacamole is AH-Mazing!!! (Thursday night menu item only) The Boardwalk is just a little ways from the cabin. ORV/ATV and snowmobile trails are just a block away. The river is just a 10 minute drive. Maps and guides are available. You can rent ATVs and canoes from Luzerne Express just down the road.
