Located in Tahoma, CA, The Aspen House boasts a prime location with close proximity to all that Lake Tahoe has to offer. A few local highlights: Sugar Pine Point State Park. This location has miles of trails through the woods. Great for hiking, running, mountain biking, cross country skiing, or snow shoeing. There are many small lakes that these trails access for the more adventurous travelers. Hellman-Ehrman Mansion State Park. This location has plenty of beautiful white sand beach access. With crystal clear blue water, this is a great way to spend that day. Kayak and paddle board rentals are available in the summer. Mckinney-Rubicon OHV Trail. this is the easternmost entrance to the world famous Rubicon trail. There are trails for hiking and mountain biking, as well as roads for OHV trips. Dog and Bear Tavern. A true Tahoma local eatery. From Pizza to seared scallops, with a large wine and beer selection, this is a great place for a casual dinner. Tahoma Market. the only grocery store between Tahoe City and South Lake Tahoe is right around the corner. A local hint: Order their sandwich's from the deli before your trip to the beach. Chambers Landing restaurant and bar. This is a great spot for lunch with a view that can't be beat. Located on the water, with a boathouse bar that carries the famous Chambers Punch. Spend an afternoon here with a cool drink watching the boats. Cult Burger. Next door to Dog and Bear, this is a great place for a quick take-home dinner. Homewood Ski Resort. A perfect place for a day of skiing. Homewood has a small town feel with plenty of runs for all levels of skiers. We are also located within 30 minutes of Tahoe City, Palisdades Ski Resort, Emerald Bay and Meeks Bay beach resort.
