The home features three thoughtfully designed bedrooms: • A King Suite with a king-size bed, dual barn-door closets, dedicated workspace, Bluetooth-enabled ceiling fan, Smart TV, and full-length mirror. • A cozy Floral Room with a queen bed, warm peach tones, Smart TV, and closet. • A fun and inviting Twin Room with two twin beds, playful décor, reading wall, interactive wall games, and a unique astronaut lamp that projects colorful lights and stars at night. At the center of the home is a Game Room, perfect for entertainment and gathering. Enjoy a console arcade with over 20,000 games, a poker table, LED accent lighting, a large Smart TV, classic Arcade1Up games (Mortal Kombat II and Pac-Man), and a variety of board games. A stylish bar area and additional seating complete the space. The living room offers comfortable seating and a Smart TV for relaxing evenings. The fully equipped kitchen includes modern appliances and a 6-person dining table, with a laundry room and full washer and dryer conveniently located off the kitchen. Outdoors, enjoy a screened-in porch with sectional seating and a Smart TV, along with outdoor dining for six and a peaceful fire pit area. The large front yard features a volleyball net, badminton set, and soccer goal for guests of all ages. Originally from Miami, Florida, we fell in love with the charm and warmth of Mount Dora during one of our many weekend getaways. What began as a simple vacation escape quickly became something much more — a peaceful retreat where we could unwind, recharge, and create lasting memories with friends and family. After sharing our home with loved ones, we realized that the magic of this place deserved to be shared with others. Today, The Dora Haus has been thoughtfully transformed into an inviting short-term rental experience, designed for comfort, relaxation, and togetherness. We invite you to settle in, take a deep breath, and enjoy the simple pleasures — the sunshine, the breeze, and the wonderful local flavors that make Mount Dora so special.

The City hosts over 30 events throughout the year, enriching the lives of residents, bringing tens of thousands of visitors to the City, and benefiting local nonprofits, small businesses, and vendors. Community favorites include Light Up Mount Dora, where the entire City is decked out in holiday decorations; Snow in the Park, which allows many local children to go sledding in Donnelly Park in the heart of downtown; and Freedom on the Waterfront, which showcases an incredible fireworks show on Lake Dora. Our Back to School Rally and African American History Festival bring the community together for family-friendly activities.
