Martin and Toni are empty nesters having spent their previous lives in child rearing, technology, and speech therapy. Toni's dream of owning a restaurant is being realized in applying her culinary skills to prepare thr visually and tasty appealing breakfasts she prepares for each guest. Tacoma's Stadium District, The Villa's neighborhood, is a collection of unique single family homes and small apartments. An eight minute walk will bring you into 10 restaurants, two cozy neighborhood bars, and even a community theater with high quality performances. Larger points of interest are the Museum of Glass, the LaMay car museums(2), the Tacoma Art Museum, and the Washington State History Museum. Tacoma's Link light rail provides continuous free service between the Theater District and the Tacoma Dome and public transportation hub. Nearby, expansive Point Defiance Park includes a zoo, a new aquarium, and miles of trails that will make you feel like you're in the middle of a national forest.

Property information

When the McCormack family built the Villa in 1925, they didn't know that they were in fact building a mansion that would become one of the finest Bed and Breakfasts in the country.  Each room has a large en suite bathroom with a large tub and separate large shower. Perhaps because of their extended family from across the USA and Ireland who came to visit them, they added good sized closets for storage and made each bedroom larger than standard. The walls of the house are a foot thick keeping it quiet inside, and none of the rooms sits atop another, eliminating that pesky sound of creaky floors from the room above so prevalent in many homes of the era. Later, a three room Carriage House and sky bridge connecting it to the main floor was added. Grand in scale, but furnished to retain intimacy and warmth, each room has a spa bath with Verona having a two person Jacuzzi.

Beautiful Italian villa style mansion whose architectural features have been maintained since its 1925 build. Its varied seven bedrooms all have a full private bath containing a separate walk in shower and a soaking tub, or a spa tub in some rooms.
