Property information

Wildflower Cottage is a beautiful vacation home just a half mile from Lake Pepin. The home was recently remodeled with a modern retro feel, and is comfortable, modern and relaxing after a fun-filled day exploring nearby wineries, restaurants, or the Pepin Marina and beach, all just minutes away. In addition to the lovely bedrooms and living room, there's a full kitchen if you'd like to cook on site. We provide dish soap, spices, oil, tea and coffee. We also provide towels for use in the home, beach towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner. Wildflower Cottage is a great place to stay for weddings, boating, touristing or working on the go with our provided high-speed wifi. We have additional vacation rentals in Pepin and Lake City as well, in case you have a particularly large group and would like to book parallel accommodations. We're remodeling Wildflower Cottage this winter and by 1/1/25, we'll be offering the Cottage as two two-bedroom rentals - Primrose and Daisy Apartments! Primrose will contain the current upper floor and offer the existing two bedrooms with queen beds, full bathroom, living room and kitchen. Daisy Apartment will be on the lower floor and offer two bedrooms (queen or full beds), a 3/4 bathroom, a living room and full kitchen. In reference to the current pictures, the purple bedroom with a bunkbed will become a queen or full bedroom (removing one twin bed), the green bedroom will stay a queen or full bedroom, the blue bedroom will become the living room (removing two twin beds), and the yellow sitting room will become a cozy full kitchen with fridge, stove and built-in dining area. Daisy will offer a washer/dryer, and Primrose will not. When rented together as Wildflower Cottage after remodeling is complete in November or December 2024, these changes will be reflected. Neighbourhood information

Pepin is a stunning lakeside town with renowned wineries, wedding venues, the large Pepin Marina, the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum and regionally acclaimed restaurants like the Harbor View Café and the Pickle Factory, most of which are just a 2 minute drive from Wildflower Cottage. Pepin is very easy to navigate. You can walk to the beach from Wildflower Cottage, or hop in the car for the quick 2 minute ride. There's local golf cart rentals, or hop the free ride to the local tavern. Pepin is friendly to both cars, bikes and walking.

Guests are required to sign and abide by the Renter Agreement provided upon booking, as well provide us with a copy of your government-issued ID, and to place a security deposit on file with us via your credit card (shared space rentals do not require a security deposit). These are required within 3 days of making your reservation, or, if your stay is within 24 hours, within one hour of making your reservation, or your reservation will be canceled and/or you will not be allowed access to the rental property. Residents of the state of Illinois are required to provide an additional security deposit and/or documentation upon request, and may also be required to sign a Renter Agreement Addendum.
