Winnemucca Heights is located in Pike National Forest. Enjoy a walk around the magical lake of Green Mountain Falls, creek-side dining at the Wines of Colorado, or the Blue Moose Tavern for a cold drink. The Pantry offers the best breakfast around and there are unique shops for you to visit. You only need to step out the front door to explore one of the many mountain trails in the area, including a hike to multiple water falls. The North Pole is located just down the road, or take a drive up the 14,000 foot mountain, Pikes Peak, one of the only fourteeners in Colorado that you can drive to the summit! A 15 minute drive will take you to Manitou, one of the most unique towns in Colorado, where you can find the penny arcade, tons of restaurants and shopping options, and even enter the Garden of the Gods, a must see in Colorado. If you enjoy wild-life, we highly recommend the wolf rescue sanctuary.
