Our newly renovated cottage, nestled in the peaceful, secure valley of the Mount Champagne Resort, with the Drakensberg majestically rising up in the distance, strikes the perfect balance between relaxation and enjoyment, to restore body and soul. The resort is in the heart of the Drakensberg, overlooking the Champagne Castle Drakensberg mountains. The world renowned Drakensberg Boys Choir School borders the property. Situated at the foot of Cathkin Peak, number 13 Mount Champagne provides an unparalleled view of the Champagne- and Cathkin range of mountains. The self catering cottage is a beautiful yet homely double storied building comprising 4 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to 8 people. The cottage is serviced daily at no extra cost and free parking is included. It has a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, air fryer, stove, microwave oven, etc, a TV lounge, a dining room with built in gas barbecue to ensure hassle free cooking in any weather conditions, as well as a patio with braai / barbecue facilities outside. Facilities include free Wi-Fi, flat screen smart TV, DSTV, slow combustion oven for heat and ambience, washing machine and tumble dryer in unit, power inverter with lithium battery and chargeable portable lights to overcome the load shedding hours, a gas hob and an oven. All bedrooms are equipped with heaters, roof fans and hair dryers. One bathroom has a free standing bath as well as a shower, the other two have a shower. All linen and bath towels are provided, kindly please bring your own swimming towels. There is a swimming pool and tennis courts on the premises, as well as a children's playground. Remember your hiking shoes, tennis gear and fishing rods! Horse riding, golf courses, hiking and many other activities, as well as restaurants and coffee shops are attractions in close proximity of the resort.

The cottage is owned by Leon & Elri Oosthuysen and Greg & Coretha Usher, who are friends and neighbours living in Midstream in Gauteng. We are family orientated people who like entertaining, having a good braai, attending wine tastings and being active by doing hikes and trails. Our pets are considered part of the family! Our children are young adults and we keep them close to our hearts. We are nature lovers and other passions we share include travelinga nd enjoying time outdoors, as well as watching sport like rugby, cricket and tennis. We love our beautiful country and invite you warmly to share this spectacular part with the amazing scenery and views with us.

Situated at the foot of Cathkin Peak, number 13 Mount Champagne affords an unparalleled view of the Champagne and Cathkin range of mountains.There are beautiful nature trails onsite at the resort and extensive hikes in the surrounding area of the famous Drakensberg World Heritage Site. Furthermore, the resort offers canoeing and fishing on the dam, mountain bike trails, a swimming pool and tennis court. The Sterkspruit river is within walking distance from the cottage offering an alternative to the swimming pool as well as tubing opportunities. The Dragon Peaks Park is situated a stone’s throw from the resort and offers the Dragon’s Pub & Restaurant, dams (catch and release for bass and carp), swimming pool, games room, playground, outdoor lapa, airfield, tennis courts, volleyball court, a wedding venue and conference facility. Other activities in the area include horse riding, trips to rock art sites, mountain biking, helicopter flights into the mountains, paintball, abseiling, zip lining, boating, golf and bird watching. The cottage is close to all amenities, including The Oaks Superette shop, the famous Champagne Sports golf course and various other golf courses.
