LOADSHEDDING This is the term used when power is cut to a specific geographical location of the country in order to reduce pressure on the national electricity grid. South Africa is currently experiencing increased loadshedding and it is likely that all travellers will experience this during their trip. To ease the inconvenience during your stay, we have installed an inverter in this property, which is battery powered. This means all lights, TV, wifi and some plugs will continue to work. However, some facilities will still be out of order such as; AC, fridge, dishwasher etc. The building's lift will be out of order during Loadshedding.

17 Marine is located in a fantastic location in Hermanus, across the road from the infamous "Cliff Path" where guests can enjoy a beautiful walk along the ocean-front into the town centre. One of the best places on earth to view whales from shore, so keep your eyes peeled. There are a number of great restaurants on our doorstep, as well as the newly refurbished "Ficks Tidal Pool" where guests can enjoy a swim just a 2 minute walk from the apartment. *We generally don't allow arrivals on Saturdays or Sundays, however, we are happy to consider arrivals on the weekend for extended stays. Please reach out to us if you'd like to check in on the weekend. IMPORTANT NOTICE We have been informed that there will be construction taking place on the building next door from the end of May 2025 for approx 2 weeks. We have discounted our rates dramatically to compensate for any inconvenience this may cause our guests. Please contact us before booking should you have any questions.
