## The neighborhood The Gardens neighborhood is part of the City Bowl District - the bustling heart of this diverse metropolis. It is an ideal area to explore Cape Town, with a heady mix of culture, nature and history. The V&A Waterfront and the International Convention Centre (ICC) are just a stone's throw away. The famous beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton are within easy reach and only a 15 minute Uber ride away. ## Getting around It is safe to walk around Gardens both during the day and night, exercise common sense and vigilance as you would in any big city. Don't leave your valuables unattended (purses, cellphone, cameras) and watch out for pickpockets on busy streets. We suggest using Uber within the city as it is reliable and affordable.
