De Kelders is a peaceful coastal village just outside Gansbaai, known for its breathtaking ocean views, dramatic cliffs, and some of the best land-based whale watching in the world. From June to November, you can often see Southern Right Whales right from the shore! The area is perfect for families who love nature and adventure. Enjoy long walks along the coastal paths, explore the famous Klipgat Caves in the Walker Bay Nature Reserve, or spend the day on the beach collecting shells and spotting dolphins. For the more adventurous, Gansbaai offers shark cage diving, boat trips, and fishing charters. There are also lovely local cafés, restaurants, and markets to explore. Hermanus is just a short drive away for even more shopping, dining, and sightseeing options. Whether you’re looking for relaxation, family fun, or outdoor adventures, De Kelders has something for everyone.
