Experience world-class service at AmmaZulu African Palace

Featuring more than 40 beaded columns and richly decorated corridors, this unique, adults-only lodge in Kloof is a private exhibition of traditional Zulu art. Its suites overlook the Krantzkloof Nature Reserve. The suites of AmmaZulu African Palace are individually furnished with beaded panels, antique chandeliers and wall-hanging rugs. Flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi give a modern twist to the suites. Guests can refresh in the outdoor pool, and relax in the sauna or in the steam room. Wildlife can be admired from the several terraces overlooking the reserve. King Shaka International Airport is about 53 km away, and African Palace AmmaZulu provides a shuttle service. Durban town centre is a 20-minute drive away.

Company information

I manage Ammazulu first hand. Communicating with my guests is very important. As I grew up in the area and I love our local surroundings and I am able to give my guest suggestions on what to do in the area. I have been in the industry for 26 years and I take pride in every that I do. My mission in life is to make people feel comfortable around me and this way my guests feel welcome and keep returning.

Property information

Ammazulu is the final piece of Peter Amm's childhood dream. He once dreamt of a special place where he could showcase his most priced collection and now Ammazulu can boast with all his glory. The building and its interior is one of a kind and is a destination on its own.
