Bald Ibis is ideally located within the Highland Gate Golf & Trout Estate with one of the best views available in the entire estate. Highland Gate is just two and a half hours from Johannesburg, nestled in the picturesque Steenkampsberg mountains near the popular fly-fishing village of Dullstroom. Each bedroom has twin beds and, in two of the rooms, guests can elect to configure the beds as either twin beds or king beds. In the other two rooms, the beds are always configured as twins. Two of the en-suite bathrooms have baths and showers and two have showers only. In addition, there is a large study with ample workspace as well as a queen-size sleeper couch (there is no en-suite bathroom for the study). The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances including a fridge-freezer, gas stove, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as all cutlery, crockery and cook-ware. There is a Nespresso coffee machine (guests to supply their own coffee pods). A large wood-burning fireplace in the living room keeps the house warm on cold Dullstroom nights and firewood is provided. There is a separate indoor/outdoor braai area, suitable for use in all weather conditions, with a large dining table and a built-in braai. Stacking doors open to the large, well-maintained garden. The house has a full DStv package, uncapped Wi-Fi and there is an inverter, solar panels and battery backup. A daily cleaning service is included for the duration of your stay, except for Sundays and public holidays. Please note that golf bookings at the Ernie Els signature golf course are not included in the booking and guests are required to make their own arrangements with the pro shop directly. The pro shop should be contacted directly for golf bookings well in advance of your stay.
