Warm...

The farm is nestled in the Swartland Region of the Western Cape. We are small (22 hectares) compared to other huge wheat, cattle, wine and olive farms. Brambleberry Farm was purchased in 2006 by Bruce and he merely lived in this quiet space. Since is was so serene and quiet, he felt it would have potential to create a guest farm and share it's wonderful qualities. There are many good wine and olive tasting farms right on the doorstep. They are well established, family-run estates with a few hundred years behind them. Brambleberry Farm is nestled between these establishments in a beautiful country setting. Well worth a visit!
Bruce built the main house for himself and two guest cottages. He started operating as a guest farm in 2009. As a young man he graduated as an industrial radiographer, in between he has been a sailor, a hiker, a runner, a cyclist, has toured an 8-month African trip and an enthusiastic man for working hard and being creative.
Farming, farming, farming. There are beautiful fields of vineyards, orchards with fruit, and in winter green grass & canola fields for cattle and sheep. Approximately 100km from Cape Town, the area is quiet and there are several small wild animals and reptiles and many different bird species. Buck, hares, porcupine, foxes, otters, jackal, pig, caracul, jenet, snakes, tortoise, gecko's, owls, eagles, bats, fish eagles, hadidas, several duck species, kingfishers and other fish-eating birds.
