The space
Welcome to Stoep Life, your coastal escape in the heart of Kommetjie village. Just a 5‑minute stroll from the beach, this charming cottage offers comfort, safety, and authentic South African seaside living.
Located in a quiet road with street cameras and very low crime, guests can relax knowing they’re in a secure environment. Check‑in is simple with a keysafe outside the electronic gate.
The highlight of the property is its spacious stoep (roofed patio)—perfect for outdoor living. Here you’ll find a dining table, sofa for lounging, and a Weber braai for relaxed evenings. It’s the ideal spot to share meals, sip sundowners, or enjoy the fresh Kommetjie air.
Inside, the galley kitchen is equipped with a fridge, 4‑plate gas stove, and zinc. Because it’s separate from the sleeping area, guests won’t be disturbed by fridge noise or cooking aromas.
The bedroom features large French doors, an armchair, fan, and space to hang clothes. The en suite bathroom includes a shower and toilet for convenience.
Guests are provided with swimming towels and a washing line for drying beach gear.
Kommetjie village is safe, walkable, and full of charm. Within minutes you’ll reach cozy coffee shops, local restaurants, and small shops. Whether you’re here to surf, explore the Cape Peninsula, or simply unwind, everything you need is close at hand.

I am Swiss but I fell in love with Cape Town as a teenager and for most of my life I have lived here. I run my business that sells eco products from this property. I am an animal lover and hence there are two dogs on the property and several cats.
Kommetjie is a village. It is an easy walk from our home to the beach, a little supermarket, an eco shop, a lovely coffee shop and various restaurants. There are some great surfing spots. The Kom is protected and shallow therefore the water warms up in summer so that one can even take a swim in the sea.
