De Goede Hoop Farmstead accommodates 8 people in 4 beautiful rooms. The master bedroom features a king-size, four-poster bed with an open-plan bathroom as well as an outdoor shower for two. The second bedroom offers a queen size bed and a separate bathroom with a freestanding bath, shower, basin, and toilet. The third and fourth bedroom features twin beds and can make use of the third bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. The modern kitchen is fully equipped. Indoor living areas include an open-plan dining room with a 8-seater table, a sunny lounge and a living room with a fireplace and a Smart TV. Entertainment areas include an indoor braai area, a boma, and a sunset nook situated next to our KolKol woodfired splash pool. Activities on the farm include biking, farm walks, bird-watching, and fishing. Sunset game drives are also offered on a pre-booked basis. For the wine enthusiasts there are multiple wine cellars near by such as BC Wines, Stettyn Cellar, Eagles Cliff Wine Estate, and Aan de Doorns Cellar. For more adventurous guests, the Klipbokkop 4x4 route is a great activity to pursue as well as a boat cruise on the Breede River or water skiing at Qwaggaskloof Dam.

Me, my husband, twin girls of thirteen and seven year old boy, live on a beautiful wine farm between Worcester and Villiersdorp. Surrounded by picturesque mountains in the country side, which is a blend of Boland and Klein Karoo, our children can express their love for animals with their two sheep dogs, Ben and Maya, Jack the Jack Russel, Buddy the dachshund, Lucky and Lucy the cats, Luka and Promise our two horses, Bella an Babsie the pot bellied pigs, budgies, chickens, sheep and geese. I work in the farm office, try to be a full-time mom and also enjoy hobbies like gardening, cooking, reading, jogging and needle work. My husband, Pieter, loves farming, and is the sixth generation on Lemoenpoort, where we farm with wine grapes, apples, pears, sweet melon and water melon. Our love for people led to the renovation of a beautiful Cape Dutch house on the property, a spacious, luxury getaway for the whole family. With its classic, yet contemporary style, this is the ideal getaway for larger groups, up to 8 people. We live in one of the most beautiful parts of the world. Surrounded by majestic mountains covered by snow in the winter and changing their colour hour by hour, one can sit on the patio the whole day to take it in. The unique blend of the Boland mountains and vineyards combined with Karoo veld and “koppies” guarrantees an unforgettable experience. Only 2km from the R43 between Worcester an Villiersdorp on a very good gravel road, the house is easily accessible. There is enough space to park outside and also a double garage which can be locked, ideal for longer stays. Although there are steps to the front patio, the back door and sliding door to the indoor braai area has only a little step, which makes the house accessible for wheelchairs. Our central location in the Breede River Valley makes a day trip to nearby attractions, like Franschhoek and Robertson accessible and easy.
