Gonana Guest House is Paternoster’s first sustainable and environmentally conscious guest house. Owned by Swedish entrepreneur and interior designer Jonas Sandström, Gonana is located right on the Bekbaai beach alongside a greenbelt. It’s also virtually off the grid and completely environmentally ethical. All water is recycled, all power is solar generated, plastic usage is minimal and chemicals are taboo, gardens are indigenous and water wise, and décor is all-natural and sourced locally. The establishment is also fair trade minded with the ethos: ‘Buy local, think global’. Gonana’s eight (8) en-suite rooms are all a study in calm. The neutral palette encourages you to exhale, relax and reconnect with the natural world. This guesthouse is also pet friendly. The rooms outside the main house is selected for their guests staying with pets and our little furry friends are also spoiled with their own hotel bed and some organic biscuit treats. Please arrange prior that you are bringing a pet along.
