Property information

Hopper House is a very special home in Kommetjie – it was the original Benning House, built in 1922. Although the house has been recently renovated, it has kept all it’s charm and character and has all the original details from when the home was built by Anton Benning. The Benning’s obviously had their pick of position and it is safe to say that Hopper House is one of the best positions in Kommetjie, right on the beach yet just a 5 minute amble into the village.

Kommetjie is a very special rustic and friendly village, a rare gem in the modern world. It is situated on the Atlantic Coast of the Cape Peninsula. Kommetjie will quickly creep its way into your heart and once you have spent some time here, it will become a favorite hideaway.A peaceful place, yet full of adventure. From surfing one of South Africa’s top surf breaks, kitesurfing, crayfishing and fishing to beautiful walks along unspoilt beaches, birdwatching, relaxing to the sound of crashing waves or just watching a spectacular sunset, Kommetjie has it all, it is an ideal family holiday.
