Nestled in the quaint coastal town along the Whale Coast Route lies our self-catering unit, Klipwerf. Attached to the main house, but with completely separate entrance and totally private. Please note that there are NO toilet facilities downstairs. And that all the bedrooms are on the second floor. Klipwerf is the perfect start or end to your #Garden Route trip. Only 75km away from Cape Town International Airport, close to famous wine routes and Hermanus for whale watching in season. (June to November). Betty's Bay itself offers #Stony Point Penguin Colony, the only place in Africa where the African Penguin, aka as Jackass penguins, still actually breed. We have the lovely Harold Porter Botanical Garden with a few beautiful hiking trails and two small waterfalls and mountain pools. About 400m from Klipwerf we have one of two popular Betty's Bay beaches, Silversands, with its long sandy stretches for nice long walks, or to watch a beautiful sunset. To get to Betty's Bay from Cape Town you will also encounter the beauty of the world's Number one scenic coastal route. Within 10 to 60 km from us there are several other quaint little towns, wine farms, caves, fab restaurants and coffee shops to visit!!

I love meeting people from all over the world and to help them see and do all our beautiful Kogelberg Biosphere has to offer. I love living close to nature and feel blessed to be able to enjoy all it has to offer. Travelling and reading are some of my other favourite things to enjoy.

Betty's Bay lies between mountains and the deep blue see. Situated in the Kogelberg Biosphere, boasting an enormous amount of fynbos (Fine leaved bushes) found only in our area. We are mostly a holiday town, with not too many permanent residents, making it a nice, quiet and relaxing place to visit. But with much to do to keep you busy for a very long time!!
