One of the best things about our property is not just the location but the view from our location. Not only can you see part of the Mooi River at the bottom of the property but on a clear day you can see the majestic Drakensburg Mountain range as well as the unmistakeable outline of the Giant's head at Giant's Castle. There are numerous properties to stay at in our area but not many have such a view. One which our guests love to wake up to in the morning and in the evening, watch the sun descend behind the rolling hills (or Drakensberg if you come at the right time of the year! At Manwood Lodge we also love nature. It's a bird-watchers paradise thanks to the marshes at the bottom of the property where a variety of buck can also be seen feeding in the mornings. There is a path for guests to take down to the river where you can stroll along the riverbank and take in the sights and sounds of the various animals and insects surrounding you. The house itself has a fireplace where we provide the necessary materials for you to make a nice fire to cosy up to on the cooler evenings. The kitchen is equipped with everything you require for a true home from home experience. There is an area for you to braai that has one for you to use. Due to our location, guests can also see the night sky in all it's glory (weather permitting of course).

Aside from the view we are also known for our hospitality. We have been hosting guests in our self-catering for almost 20 years now and our guest satisfaction is legendary.
