Misty peaks has been around for over 20 years. Our own experiences have shown us what we would expect when travelling and we used this to ensure our guests get the same. Comfort is all important. Our beds are superb, all dressed in quality linen. Over the years we have had numerous returning guests which proves we are doing things the right way. We take our guests requirements very seriously and appreciate your feedback so please let us know if you have any suggestions or comments during or after your stay. Please note : we handle our own finances directly and not booking. Com. Once you have made a reservation we will contact you and provide you with a payment link for the 50% deposit which is usually payable within 24 hours. Please don't make a reservation if you don't intend to pay the deposit. If you would like to request additional time to pay the deposit please contact us first.

Experience Adventure in the Heart of South Africa's Central Drakensberg Welcome to Misty Peaks, the perfect base from which to explore the stunning Central Drakensberg region of South Africa. Our luxury accommodation offers breath taking views of the mountains and is just a short distance from a wide range of activities. Misty peaks Cloudlands is a truly unique place to stay. Located on a private eco estate this is the ideal location for someone wanting to enjoy the mountains in all of their beauty. The garden leads directly onto the grasslands in front of the berg offering beautiful views which change daily. Zebras are frequent visitors in the garden and walks into the berg start from our doorstep. The house is beautifully furnished and fully kitted out with absolutely everything you could need. The house is serviced daily at an additional charge of R180 which is not optional. WI FI and Netflix are also provided. Apart from the peace and tranquillity the area has to offer there are numerous attractions and activities in the area. Golf at Champagne sports resort, helicopter flights into the mountains, shops, restaurants, MTB, hiking, choir school concerts, quad bikes, swimming, birds of prey demonstrations are just some things to enjoy. Bird watching is also a popular pastime and apart from the numerous species on offer we have a vulture feeding programme on the estate which attracts hundreds of these endangered birds. The estate is about 4 1/2 hours travelling time for Johannesburg and 2 1/2 from Durban. All roads are tarred. There are shops nearby as well as all essential services one may need in the nearby village of Winterton. Childrn can play to their hearts content in the large garden and the area is safe and secure. The house has two fridges, a washing machine, netflix on a large 55" tv, wi-fi, dishwasher ,superb beds and linen and no expense has been spared to guarantee you have a hassle free stay.
