This eco reserve has a natural swimming pool and a lodge restaurant serving game. It is situated in the heart of the malaria-free Eastern Cape, a 30-minute drive from East London’s city centre.
The 3,500 hectare Mpongo Private Game Reserve offers lodge and chalet accommodation, decorated in a European style with African decorations. All rooms offer an en suite bath or shower.
The thatched-roof Huberta restaurant provides a charming view of the Mpongo's property with its swimming pool. There is a traditional boma, a fireplace terrace, where guest can relax in the evening with a drink.
Mpongo offers a variety of recreational activities, such as game drive safaris.
The reserve is located a 40-minute drive from East London Airport and offers a shuttle service. East London’s beaches are a 30-minute drive away.
Please note that River Lodge is being re-thatched to create an even more beautiful and comfortable experience for our guests, We are open as usual and happily accepting bookings, though you may notice some limited disruptions while the work is underway.
