Nutwoods Park is a spacious historic farmhouse originally built in the 1940s in the heart of the quaint Hogsback village. It is situated within a magnificent private garden of more than a hectare with a myriad of features and walkways to explore. Walking distance from all of the town's amenities and nature trails, it is the perfect spot from which to discover this unique rural jewel. There is a large kitchen with gas stove and all basic appliances as well as a separate scullery. The dining room boasts a vintage fireplace and sliding doors leading to a veranda on one side and a courtyard rose garden on the other. The 70 squared meter lounge has another fireplace and views to the garden where birdlife and Samango monkeys abound. There are 3 double rooms (1 en-suite ). Two of the rooms have their own cosy seating area with a private fireplace. Two more single beds can accommodate children or extra guests in an alcove room off the passageway. Adding to the feeling of spaciousness there are two entrance halls and a double guest cloakroom as well as a jungle gym and trampoline outside. There are no TV's on the property, but free uncapped wifi will keep all your devices connected.

Hogsback is a unique little village nestled high in the Amatola-mountains of the Eastern Cape. There are magnificent views all round the plateau and a vast network of forest trails leading through the centuries-old Afro-montane indigenous forest. Easy-to-reach waterfalls, such as the famous 'Madonna and Child', 'Kettlespout', '39 steps', 'Swallowtail' as well as tons of secret streams and waterspots, are scattered throughout. The village has a large homesteading community with a weekly food and craft market on Saturdays. There are many little gift and curio shops including pottery, crystal, chocolate and cannabis shops with many other attractions. Being a cloud nursery, Hogsback keeps its nature club busy with an abundance of flora exotic to Africa flourishing in the misty high altitude. Azaleas, rhododendrons and hydrangeas, maples and large californian Redwoods are interspersed with the native species. Mushrooms found nowhere else in SA makes it a mycologist's paradise too. The Cape Parrot Project provides a safe breeding ground for SA's only indigenous parrot species.
