"Lark house" holiday home with Power Backup is set against the mountain, and coupled with the stunning vistas over False Bay, it's the perfect getaway. The house has a natural fynbos garden with direct access to hiking trails on the mountain which form a part of the Table Mountain National Park, a world heritage site. Enjoy whale-watching (in season) from the decks or visit the beaches close by. The house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood close to several tourist attractions, and can accommodate up to 8 people (max 6 adults). Lark House boasts three decks, a lower deck with braai (BBQ) and picnic bench, an upper deck with outdoor seating, where you can relax with your book or enjoy a drink while enjoying the beautiful ocean views. At the back of the house there is a secluded deck in the beautiful garden, with mountain views. Our house also has a garden and private parking (we also have on road parking for those who prefer not to drive up the steep driveway) There are two smart TVs (with access to Netflix, YouTube etc), board games and inclusive Wi-Fi. Because of our battery power backup our guests don't have to worry about scheduled power outages (load shedding): for example lights, TV and Wi-Fi will keep working. For the cooler winter months, there is a wood burner fireplace in the living room. We have two bedrooms downstairs and a very spacious loft area upstairs with two single beds and one double bed, which is especially ideal for families with children. Each bedroom has direct access to one of the decks for amazing views.

As your hosts (David and Tania), we live just down the street and will be happy to welcome you. We will gladly address any issues you may have during your stay too, feel free to reach out to us. For added security, the house is fully alarmed with a local 24 hour response team. You will be provided with a remote attached to the key. We would like you to stay safe and enjoy your stay!

We have the best of both worlds! If you would like some solitude, relax on one of the decks with a good book or delicious drink. Get out your binoculars and see if you can spot a whale in the Bay (during the season). If you'd like more adventure, feel free to take a hike up the mountain, all you have to do is open the back gate. Once rested check out the charming, eclectic towns of Kalk Bay and Simon's town which are nearby. Enjoy the beaches and don't forget to visit the penguins at Boulder's Beach! Kalk Bay, Fish Hoek and Simon's Town are all a short drive away. Cape Point National Park is only about a 20 minute drive away. The center of Cape Town is a 40 minute drive away. Boulders Beach with penguins, is a 12 minute drive away. Glencairn Beach is a 3 minute drive away. Fish Hoek Beach is an 8 minute drive away. There are several vineyards in the area to chose from. A lot of people drive but there are other options like trains, buses and Uber, in the area.
