High Hill is a block of four apartments situated above Central Beach in Plettemberg Bay It has astonishing views is the sea and three beaches and the iconic Beacon Island Hotel on Central Beach. The view of the sea is active with boats and frequent sitting of whales and dolphins in season. The apartment is newly refurnished with contemporary furnishings, and 85” flat screen TV, a patio for drinks and barbeque, and each bedroom had a magnificent sea view. The downstairs bedroom has direct access to the garden and communal pool area. The block is residential and we ask our guests to respect the permanent residents by not making a noise. You will be cared for by our a daily housekeeper except on Sundays and a cook can be provided by arrangement. The best of all is that you go to sleep with the sound of the waves on the beach, and hence our name.
Ronel Straughan is the owner. She is a property attorney based in Plettenberg Bay and Cape Town Louise Briers is the guest liaison. She lives locally and is responsive to all guest needs Cynthia Terblanche is the in-house cook whose services can be arranged as required at an additional cost of R800 per day. In addition to this there is daily housekeeping and laundry services provided other than on Sundays.
The apartment is within 10 minutes’ walk to the central shopping area where you will find good restaurants, coffee shops, bars and shops. The walk back is uphill. There are many activities and adventures available in the area such as an elephant sanctuary, a bird sanctuary, wine tasting on wine farms, whale watching, canyon river adventures, surfing, swimming, hiking in the forests or the Robberg Nature Reserve, horse trails and long walks along the soft-sandy beaches which regularly win international awards. Or you can sit on the patio with a book and a glass of wine.
