Welcome to our suite in Seaforth in the picturesque town of Simonstown. We love this area because it's a five-minute walk to three fantastic swimming beaches - Water's Edge, Boulders and Seaforth (Water Edge being our favourite "local"). These beaches are in small coves and between boulders, and sheltered from strong currents, winds and large waves. The world famous Boulders Beach Penguin Colony is about 300 metres away, and there's a lovely boardwalk for viewing the African penguins or taking your daily stroll. We hope to host you for a few days to relax in our suite and indulge in the natural surrounding. We live on the doorstep of the Cape Point National Park and our beaches are in a "no-take" marine protection area. We are privileged to share this amazing environment with an abundance of marine, mammal and bird species, and the spectacular coastline has many places for you to explore our rich biodiversity, history and heritage. Please be advised of our non-smoking policy on this property. Guest will only be allowed to smoke at the entrance to the property and not in the apartment or on the balcony. Parking is available on-street only. We have installed backup solar power to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during your stay.

We are a retired active couple and love living in this quant place in paradise - far enough from the city to get that holiday feeling every day, and near enough to explore all Cape Town has to offer. We love to explore and regularly take trips locally and abroad.

The South African Maritime Training Academy (SAMTRA)is a mere 140m walk and convenient for students studying short courses at their facilities. Seaforth, a suburb of Simonstown, is a quiet area most famous for Boulders Beach. The 7 Penguins Convenience Store at the top of our road can provide for all your basic needs, and two daytime restaurants are within walking distance at the beaches on our doorstep. Simon's Town's village is a few minutes away by car, or about a 10 minute walk. In the village there are lots of wonderful little restaurants, coffee shops, bars and shops for you to explore. The Harbour Bay Mall is 4.4 km away by car or Uber as you enter Simonstown, with over 35 stores ranging from upmarket eateries to premium stores including Woolworths, Pick n Pay and Clicks, and the famous Blue Door coffee barista. From the Simonstown harbour, you can book boat, kayaking, water bike, fishing and diving trips. Our town is also home to the South African Navy, and has a strong maritime history worth exploring. We're on the road to Cape Point Nature Reserve (the tip of the Cape Peninsula) where you can take in the fresh Atlantic ocean air, go on many beautiful hikes and visit the many beaches in the reserve. A morning walk or run along this road towards Millers Point with a swim at Fisherman's Beach is "soul food".
