Location and nature. The Wilds is a long time established property. Here you can truly relax. We are not trendy but functional. Cottages built with families and warm humid climate in mind. Decor and furniture is a working mix of old and new in harmony, our own pace, crafty ways in furnishings. We support local crafters and upcycle projects to reduce waste. A Tranquil informal kept garden setting with wildlife in mind on your doorstep. We love nature, share our knowledge with guests, we live in natural paradise. Families of up to 6 can stay in one cottage with own garden area at the unit. Enjoy meals outside while watching the birds. Watch the sun set from the lake side garden, especially in SA winter as it is gorgeous.

I adore nature, the wonder of each little living creature from grass to shells, spiders to elephants. St Lucia is amazing, every day the same trail is different. Each creature has a purpose. I am married to a wonderful husband, we share our little cottage with 2 adopted grey cats and the grumpy Cleo cat that moved in. Walking the trails, on the beach and some surf fishing, birding from home. I am a crazy crafter. We love home made healthy food. We do not have a television. We are Jesus Christ of Nazareth followers. I try to share the passion and wonder of nature and show the little things like snails and chameleons, insects (we have fabulous large ones). St Lucia has such a variety as we area surrounded by beach and bush. Like an animal paradise. We love the outdoors, eating in the garden and of course a braai (bbq) with meat on the fire. I love the warmth of summer and winter and the refreshment and new life, rain brings. Learning to live with limit water resources and electrical supply is an ongoing challenge with limited financial resources. We are slowly changing the way we use these resources.

Small coastal village within a nature World Heritage Site with ocean and beach on east and forests, grasslands, lake on west. Wild animals really live among us - paradise. Very humid warm climate. Beach and Bush activities on the same day. Restaurants, grocer shops, pharmacy, clothes and curios. One street with shops and restaurants close enough to walk to from us. Walking trails are for old and young at your own pace. Located on the lake/reed side between a Catholic Church Retreat Centre and the last bnb property on the street with forest opposite us. We also started an art gallery and with a garden cafe and art and craft activities on offer, for all guests.
