We welcome folks from all walks of life who wish to come to the farm to relax and unwind. We really enjoy sharing the amazing history of this beautiful area. However, we do want all our guests to appreciate that we love these old buildings and rather than pull them down, we have restored them to the best of our ability, without losing their unique charm. This is not the venue for folks who want who want modern and classy.

Swaynekloof is a life-style farm with sweeping paddocks and a picturesque game reserve. Accommodation includes a four bedroom house, Swaynehuis, which sleeps 12 ,with a sleeper couch. Large swimming pool with built-in braai and lapa. Sorry, no loud parties or one night stays. There are four other rustic cottages, Riverside Cabin, Heritage Cottage, and two are close together, Top and Green Cottage, and idea for family gatherings. The farm is available for group stays. Weather plays a large part in your experience. Mid winter is cold but green and beautiful and the indoor fireplaces in all but River Cabin are very popular. Summer on the other hand is hot, dry and insects can be annoying. However, the large pool at Swaynehuis (it is a private pool only for Swaynehuis guests), plunge pool at Top Cottage (for Top Cottage and Green Cottage guests) and the lovely Bot River where kids love to paddle, can make for a great summer experience. All roads around the property are gravel and the summer winds can make the units dusty. It's beautiful but it is a rustic farm!

Our farm is very beautiful, quiet and full of bird life and game. The Bot River runs through the farm and is fun for kids to play! We are only 4.5km from Botrivier Town which has small supermarkets but great diners. -Cornelskop, the farm next door, has lions, cheetah, lynx and many other interesting animals (booking required - not free of charge). -The Vanderstel Pass road (gravel road) which leads from Botrivier, past our farm, to Villiersdorp is very pretty with great wine farms all along it. -There are also zip line adventures nearby and many other attractions along the N2, within 15 minutes of the farm. -In fact plenty to do! -The farm is safer than town! We do have the usual snakes, spiders etc., but they usually stay hidden.
