The neighbourhood is very quiet, peaceful and safe with many joggers, walkers and people walking their dogs on the street. It is a 10 minute walk to the shark-netted, and protected from the prevailing southwesterly wind, swimming beach of Fish Hoek and one can walk onto the mountain from the home. As it is halfway up the mountain, people must be prepared to do many steps.
