The Railway Cottage is situated at the foot of the Outeniqua mountain next to the Botanical gardens. The lovely suburb, Fernridge, is an easy access to mountain trails for hikers, runners and mountain-bikers. From The Cottage you are immediately on one of the trails. It is a Private and Quiet space for the family or business person to relax and recuperate for the next day. To chill on the patio with some refreshments, enjoying the beautiful view as well as listening to the fire in the braai, is super special. The enclosed space make it safe for little kids to run around. The facility has a fully functioning kitchen with a gas hop, Convection oven, microwave, toaster, fridge/freezer. In the shower room there is a washing machine. Wifi is unlimited.

I love people and to get to know so many new people through the hosting process is such a joy. I've built the cottage myself and poured so much love into it. I want others to enjoy and experience it for themselves. I'm a life coach with a special focus on business people. My hobbies are on the creative side. I love to build stuff from scratch like buildings or cupboards (not keen on restoring things) - always nice to see the result. I also tried my hand at art late in my life and enjoy painting. You will experience some of it in the cottage.

Often you will see people going for a walk in the neighbourhood because it is very beautiful, safe and quiet. There is only one entrance to the suburb and therefor no drive through traffic. The Botanical Gardens, next door, is a wonderful place for a walk around or a picnic. There is even a small coffeeshop available, a mushroom-trail and a Birds of Prey rehab centre. The centre of town is less than 2km away with ample shops, restaurants and places to see.
