The APARTMENT WITH GARDEN VIEW is semi-detached from the main house on the property. It is rented out as a whole. It has a private entrance and consists of an entrance hall; two bedrooms (main with a double bed and second bedroom with two single beds - both rooms have air-conditioning); a large bathroom with bath and shower; an open-plan living area with large, flat-screen TV and full DSTV; a fully equipped kitchen and a large, private deck with an outdoor braai stocked with wood that has lovely views of the garden. The pool can be accessed down the stairs from the deck. ***BIRDSONG COTTAGE also forms part of Town and Country. Situated on the same premises, but separate from the main house. It consists of two bedrooms (main with double bed and second bedroom with two single beds - both rooms have air-conditioning), bathroom with shower, open-plan living area (with full DSTV and Wi-Fi) and fully equipped kitchen as well as a covered verandah with built-in braai and direct access to the garden. **We also have secure off-road parking for guests behind a security gate. Guests are provided with a remote for the gate. There is also free WiFi on the property. RATES ARE PER PERSON

My husband and I live on the property, so we are on hand to assist our guests. I am retired and a volunteer for the local Animal Welfare Organisation. My property also serves as a sanctuary for various rescued animals. Currently we have sheep, a pot belly pig, chickens, rabbits, Leopard tortoise, cats and dogs. Please note that guests have a private area of the garden reserved for their use. The animals do not have access to this area or to the living space, and will therefor not bother guests, who may choose if and when they wish to interact with the animals. We have also put measures in place to deal with any water shortages and the possibility of power failures due to the dreaded Eskom "load-shedding". Our property has water storage tanks totalling 32 500 Litres and a back-up generator capable of supplying power to the whole property. Both The Apartment with Garden View and BirdSong Cottage are equipped with a gas stove, a stove-top kettle and an emergency LED lantern for use in case of power failures. .

Our property is situated about 1km from the Caledon Botanical Gardens and the Caledon Casino, Hot Springs and Spa, and is within walking distance of the town centre. The Victoria Mall is also approximately 1 km away. We are also less than 5km from the popular wedding venues, Die Woud and The One Heaven and Earth.
