Villa Olivia — Where the Heart of the Swartland Comes Alive
Villa Olivia takes its name from the region that surrounds it: the Swartland, known for its rolling vineyards and ancient olive groves. It is a place where life moves a little slower, the sunlight feels gentler, and every day begins with a touch of quiet beauty.
Situated in the heart of Riebeek Kasteel, Villa Olivia offers the perfect balance — peaceful and private, yet within walking distance of everything that makes this village so charming. Cosy cafés, delightful restaurants, art galleries and small boutiques are just around the corner, inviting you to explore and enjoy.
As one of the oldest houses in Riebeek Kasteel, Villa Olivia carries a rich history. Fully renovated with great care and respect, the home preserves its original character and authenticity while offering all the comfort of modern living. Every detail tells a story, and every corner breathes warmth.
Inside, the villa welcomes up to six guests, with two spacious bedrooms and three wonderfully comfortable beds. There are two bathrooms — one with a refreshing shower and one with a luxurious bathtub — perfect for slow mornings or peaceful evenings.
The large kitchen with brand-new appliances, the inviting dining room, and the cosy living area with flatscreen TV and Netflix make this house feel like a true home.
And for those who love outdoor living: the front terrace catches the morning sun, while the back terrace with garden, braai, mist system, hot tub, outdoor shower and fountain invites you to unwind beneath the stars.
For added peace of mind, secure private parking is available right next to the house.
Villa Olivia is a place to rest, to breathe, to savour — a romantic retreat in one of the Swartland’s most beautiful villages.
A home where memories gently take shape.
Allow us to introduce ourselves.
We’re Philippe and Inge — married since 1998 and proud parents of four children, including one foster child.
After nearly 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, we decided five years ago to make a bold move: leaving Belgium for South Africa. And what a wonderful decision it has been. The combination of a job we still love, the amazing climate, and the genuinely kind people who live here has never once made us long to return to Belgium, our home country.
With our extensive know-how, our curiosity for other cultures, and our open hearts for the people we meet, our work continues to be inspiring and enriching every single day.
