"Your feet will bring you to where your heart is" - Irish Proverb The manor house is owned by an Irish man who came and settled in Tulbagh with his wife in 2002. They came to Tulbagh for a celebration and never left. He says it has something to do with the amazing Tulbagh wine and the beauty and friendliness of the people of the valley He has a wealth of knowledge and background in four star **** hotels and has applied if to Wittedrift Manor House. He has travelled extremely extensively and shares his stories and experiences with the guest. The Manager Carol Collins, also the owner and manager of Readers Restaurant for 21 years - and has been in the hospitality tourism business for 30 years, also traveled extensively working, worked in London, Cypress and the States and together with PJ will make you stay at Wittedrift special, and will go the extra mile.

A warm welcome awaits you at Wittedrift Manor House. Step back in time and walk into this impressive Cape Dutch home in the centre of Tulbagh. Just a short stroll from the historic Church Street, restaurants, museums and shops – a short drive to award winning wine estate, hiking and mountain biking trails and outdoor activities. The Manor retains its grandeur by flaunting antique furniture, fine art collections and huge spacious rooms. Relax in a unique shady walled gardening setting, private front and back verandas, lounge next to a crystal clear swimming pool, or find a sunny corner to read a book. The enclosed garden provides a secure and safe off street parking, Tessa and Teddy our 2 resident dogs will be there to greet you and look after you while staying with us. Wittedrift Manor House is a fully equipped self-catering manor house and comfortably accommodates up to 12 in three spacious suites. All the rooms are tastefully decorated in country colonial style.
