Friendly staff. Basic but clean accommodation as you’d expect from an Ibis Budget.

The hotel is tucked away in a residential area. We were concerned about security being near the port but the Ibis felt safe with all night staff, lighting and cameras. We took our skis in but left the boot luggage in the car. Otherwise, usual standard for Ibis Budget - cheap, no frills. Fine for overnight.

Quite a contrast with the Ibis Budget in Reims - so a pleasant relief. Bed in Reims was broken and sleep elusive even after a 10 hour drive. Room was cramped and poor value. We might have avoided Ibis as a result but the Bayeux hotel was vastly better. We had a long drive to Bayeux and did not arrive until 0100 hours. The kind receptionist opened the barrier for us and had everything ready as we walked in. The secure parking and 24 hour check-in is top of our list of needs always.

The Ibis Styles Ouistreham is very close to the Brittany Ferry Terminal which makes it easy to connect to the ferry.

It is a functional budget hotel on the outskirts of Bayeux - but definitely not exceptional. I stayed in an Ibis hotel near Mont St Michel two nights later and it was of a far higher standard than this one.

Everything meet Ibis Budget standarts: not more - not less. Room is small and compact, but clean, bed is comfortable, in general it is what you expect from Ibis Budget - good solution for 1 night stay after late arrival by train. It was warm enough in the room in spite of very cold night. Hotel located just in front of the train station, but the neighborhood looks safe and calm.
