Full of charm & character you would expect from a 16th Century Inn. All the staff were friendly & efficient

The Lydgate was a lovely room with interesting pictures and outlook and an en suite bathroom. The bed was very wide. The second pillow could have been softer/thinner and thel ventilation fan in the bathroom a little less disruptive of a night's sleep but these are minutiae. The evening meal was excellent. The breakfast (different team?) was somewhat tired and overcooked- we felt it was hanging around in the kitchen before being served.

Great location, great breakfast would happily eat dinner there next time we visit. Parking facilities perfect. Really friendly staff.

Super friendly staff, great atmosphere and full of customers when we arrived which is always a good sign! And because we were arriving late, we rang ahead and were able to book dinner which they made for us when we arrived 👌🏻 The food was excellent! Lovely room, and free beer and water in room!! Top stay for a pub! Must reiterate how refreshing it was to be served by such thoughtful and enthusiastic staff!!
