Het door een familie beheerde Hotel Bären ligt op 7 km van Interlaken. Everything! The proprietors, our room, the food, Gary the hostess (fantastic!!), the church bells and the views of the Alps were all incredible! The bakery, grocery store across the street was fabulous when opened. It was not opened everyday. This was a true swiss Alps village away from the city and on a vast beautiful mountain range with cows, and horses and beautiful chalets and the people! It was about 20 minutes down a windy road into Interlarken. Perfect location. We had a car but used the bus pass that the hotel gave us which was extremely helpful. We give this place a 15 out of 10 stars. It was just perfect in every way for a small village. Highly recommended

This hotel is situated 200 metres from Lake Thun and close to the Beatus Caves. Very friendly owners. Very nice and clean room. The hotel has some unique antique design. The main thing is the view. We booked a triple room and We had the magical view of lake brienz. It was wonderful. Hotel is next to the bus stop. and busses were traveling by 30 minutes interval. And finally the breakfast is nice.
