Nicely renovated japanese house in the old part of town, about 10 minutes from the imperial palace. Toni and his wife are lovely hosts, it felt like we were guests in their home. The shared facilities are clean and good. We stayed in a smart room were everything was connected, very convenient! Warmly recommend.

The hosts are a very kind couple. Comfortable and clean B&B, located in a quiet area, however close to many restaurants and shops . Wonderful breakfast - like an European meal - was freshly prepared each day and always different (we stayed 5 nights).

The location was absolutely beautiful and the owner of the Ryokan was incredibly friendly. He showed care about our stay 24/7 and even gave us a ride to the train station. He takes a lot of pride in the Ryokan and it shows with the cleanliness and beautiful atmosphere. Thank you and would recommend 100% to anyone. The owner also has a beautiful Akita named Shin and he is very sweet and will greet you coming in.

Very easily reachable from the station (15 min walk, if I'm not mistaken), feels safe with all the locker combinations. Once I entered the room, it looked and smelled like my grandmother's house (in a good way!), it felt very homey and clean. Usually I'm a bit of a germaphobe, but here I didn't even mind sitting on the floor. Also, trash sorting? Most hotels don't even do that! I'm glad they seem to be conscious about the environment. Also have laundry option :) The staff was lovely. 10/10 would book again!

Το HOTEL LEGASTA KYOTO SHIRAKAWA SANJO διαθέτει δωμάτια με κλιματισμό και ιδιωτικό μπάνιο στο Κιότο, σε απόσταση 500μ και 500μ από τα σημεία ενδιαφέροντος Samurai Kembu Κιότο και Ναός Shoren-in,... the room was decently big (we had a shoebox in tokyo so this was considered big), very clean and modern looking. there are two hotel legastas, this one is further from the station whereas the other is just across the street. the toilet is a separate area from the sink and the shower which i liked, more hygienic! i really loved this toilet. staff were very nice as well. definitely not a big chain type of amenities but you have everything you need here if you are just using the room to sleep, rest and shower.

Very nice, kind and helpful staff. Location is little bit far away from city center, on the other hand closer to some temples and touristic places. There are local restaurants and conbinis nearby.
