Casa Azul is a treasure. Up a steep alley (of course, it's Guanajuato!) ... it is lovely and intimate, with art and antiques and so many plants, like a botanical garden. The courtyard with fountain, rooftop patio, and common spaces are lovely. My little single room was cozy and quiet. Pauline and the staff are so kind and attentive, and I appreciate that they encourage guests to conserve water and respect the environment. I liked it so much I checked in twice in one week :)

All rooms will provide guests with a fridge. We loved our stay here. You basically have a room in a colonial mansion with lovely art work and decor. We didn’t use all the facilities as we were out exploring much of the time, but a living room and dining room were available for our use. We did use the shared kitchen, which was like a commercial kitchen. Continental breakfast was included and coffee and tea and pastries were available throughout the day. The room was cleaned daily which was nice and laundry was available for an extra charge. Very quiet location. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to the historic Center.

We liked the rooftop bar and nice view of the city. The room is nice and bit small, but it was perfect for couple staying. Also, nice wood floor and on the walls... but there are no windows.. the good thing is that we have a fan in the room, so it was okay. We definitely come back in the future and stay here again.

However, what truly stands out is the outstanding courtyard. It offers a delightful and serene ambiance, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a good book.

Set in León and within less than 1 km of Leon´s cathedral, Hostería Casa Marquez features a terrace, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. Located around 700 metres from Main square, the inn is also 3.2 km away from Leon Poliforum. Really enjoyed the garden terrace and the little cozy room helped me to feel at home. I was able to do yoga and breathwork in the comfort of my room and the check in process was pretty easy.
