Our favorite place in all of our Peru holliday. It is a charming, small, simple place with lots of charm. Uphill from the main square, our stay in Cuzco was all the more wonderful. The staff helped us navigate our trip to Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu, and the breakfast is small but delicious (with great views). Our room was lovely and warm. If we ever go back to Cuzco, we won't think twice. Also, see if you catch the receptionist/owner(?) on IncaRail's promotional videos for that celebrity rush!

In Cusco´s San Blas art district, Amaru Inca is set in a colonial house with internal patio and garden, featuring scenic views. Accommodation includes private bathroom, free WiFi on common areas and buffet breakfast is served daily. It’s a beautiful lodging that’s right at the heart of the historic center. I love the decor and the provisions included, nothing was lacking or overdone. I was able to connect with the hotel via whatsapp before arriving and they arranged for a taxi pickup at the airport to avoid overpriced fees if booking from there. We stayed for only one night but I wished we had used it as a base for the rest of our trip because everything you need (wrt travel around Peru) can be arranged in Cusco. Laundry, tours, and bag storage are also available.

I had the most incredible stay at Casa De La Chola near Ollantaytambo! The property itself is breathtaking, with stunning mountain views and cozy living areas framed by huge glass windows that let you soak in the scenery. The rooms are spotless and full of charm, decorated with delightful Peruvian-themed touches that make them feel both comfortable and unique.
A highlight of our stay was the resident black cat, who stole our hearts! This sweet kitty would join us in the living room for cozy cuddles each night and be there to greet us in the morning right outside our door. We miss him so much already!
The hospitality was beyond our expectations. Tony, the owner, is a phenomenal chef who prepared delicious breakfasts for us each morning—perfectly cooked eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, fresh-squeezed juice, and rich Peruvian coffee. We also loved the Sunday pizza night, where Tony made each pizza from scratch and baked it in his impressive brick oven; they were some of the best pizzas we've ever had! One evening, we wanted something lighter, and Tony made us a warm, hearty chicken soup that was absolutely delicious.
The location was also ideal. It’s only about a 15-minute drive to Ollantaytambo town, and Tony was happy to help us arrange a taxi when we needed one, especially for our early-morning trip to the train station to Machu Picchu. He even packed us a breakfast to go, which was such a thoughtful touch.
The peaceful, tranquil atmosphere at Casa De La Chola made it the perfect retreat after exploring. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and beautiful stay near Ollantaytambo.

Breakfast. Dinner. Staff. Room. Every afternoon, tea and Hot water bottle in the room. Everything was perfect! The hotel should be rated as 5 star hotel!
The hotel is beautiful, the staff lovely! They helped with airport transportation, helped us order dinner after our hiking as well. It is in a relatively quiet neighborhood but cute shops and restaurants nearby and a short walk to the Plaza de Armas. Also the included breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend and would stay there again!
Original hotel! A fantastic location and host. Excellent value for money, everything was as expected. Sublime breakfast and dinner. Great overall experience
We very much enjoyed our stay at Luisa! The location was perfect, just off the main square. The room was clean and the beds were super comfortable with plenty of blankets. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had a few requests and they were more than willing to help us. Breakfast was served outside in the inner courtyard (a little chilly in the morning) and included fresh fruit, bread, eggs, coffee and juice. I would recommend staying here!
The perfect place to stay after a long day of trekking! Comfortable room, nice hot shower, delicious dinner (extra cost) and breakfast (included), very friendly staff.
Location near the train station, and the bus station to Machu Picchu, lots of dinner options nearby, helpful staff
Boutique hotel, rustic and very artisanal look. Restaurant serves super delicious fresh food, the breakfast and the dinners we had were some of my favorite meals. Staff is very kind and warm. Loved the whole look
The owner made us feel really welcome without being obtrusive. They offered helpful advice and suggestions when we needed them. Breakfasts were simple but lovely with eggs meat cheese bread and excellent coffee. We were even given a huge flask of hot water each afternoon for unlimited teas (when the owner worked out we were stereotypical tea drinking Brits!) :) it was a nice touch. The guest house is a bit like a museum packed with quirky artefacts and pictures. Feels quite rustic but excellent value for money.
