The location was also very convenient, close to baywalk, restaurants and just a short drive from the airport.

Located in Banaue, Batad Roberto's Abung Inn and Restaurant is 700 metres from Banaue Rice Terraces. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also has a restaurant and a terrace. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. Best location with overlooking view of the Batad Rice terraces in your bedroom and dining area. Really recommend this inn if you want to rest for a bit, bask in the view with local coffee brew before the actual hike and descent to the main village and Tappiya falls. Thanks to our guide Kuya Dave for being patient with us and helping our 84 yr old grandma finish the hike. Thanks as well to the staff, Ms. Kim, Roxanne and her mother, for preparing our food, especially the curry, chopsuey, and chicken tinola! Also gave us more shampoo when we ran out. Sir Ulysses’ and family kept us company on our last night. The inn also offer massages which is a must try if you’re a massage enthusiast. Their techniques are really different compared to city massage therapists.

Duli Beach Resort is located on the beachfront in El Nido, 2.2 km from Bucana Beach. The inn has a terrace and sea views, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar.

At the inn, each room comes with a balcony. Guest rooms include a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries. All round exceptional. This is the best hotel I've been to (and I've travelled a lot) if you want an off grid holiday somewhere peaceful, on a beautiful beach, super friendly team and owners. If you have a good book and like the ocean, you'll be happy here for days. There is intermittent cell signal (but strong signal with both smart and globe five mins up the beach). Starlink for much of the day. Battery powered fans and lights in the bedroom. Generator (not noisy) during day for charging devices and battery packs. You can absolutely remote work here. I loved how friendly the other guests were. It meant I could dip in and out of hanging in the cafe and reading my book or chatting to them and the owners. Very safe, with owners sleeping on site plus overnight security. Top tip, chat to owners before you book about what you want to get up to. They are amazing and will give you a frank answer about whats possible/realistic. Ultimately this isn't a five star all inclusive resort - it's a bit bouncy to get to and you don't have air con etc. But gosh it's amazing. I wish I'd stayed longer.

Situated in San Vicente and within 500 metres of Port Barton Beach, Jeno Tourist Inn has a garden, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. This 1-star inn offers a tour desk. Guests can enjoy mountain views. This little friendly place, with just a handful of practical set up rooms, is doing everything right, without overdoing it, and nothing wrong. Everything is just so incredibly clean. Nice spacious room with attached spacious bathroom. Soap, Shampoo, towels and for once, plenty of toilet paper supplied. I really liked that the wash basin was in the room, not in the bathroom, so you don't need to step in water just for washing your hands or brushing your teeth. The room had an Aircon and a fan, hot shower and excellent lighting. It also had a mosquito net, and mosquito netting on the window. Right outside each room there is a table and chairs, and a clothes line. Superb WiFi, best I've had during my 6 weeks in the Philippines. There's a common kitchen with free hot and cold water, coffee, tea and creamer, plates, cups, glasses, cutlery, chopping knives, cooking plates, frying pan, cooking oil, and a fridge. Excellent location, just 2 min walk from the bus station and 5 min from the beach. (Budget accommodations have all gone inland these days. You pay a lot for beach front places.) The air quality was very good in the room, not damp at all despite it being the rainy season. I only used the fan, didn't need the Aircon.
