My stay at Guan Yun Shan Ju was an absolutely unforgettable experience. Tucked away in the serene mountains, this lodge truly lives up to its name "Cloud-Gazing." Waking up to a sea of clouds right outside our window was nothing short of magical. The room was impeccably clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with a tasteful blend of modern comfort and traditional charm. The wooden beams and soft lighting created a very cozy atmosphere. The hospitality of the staff was exceptional; they were incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel right at home. The food was another highlight! We enjoyed delicious, locally-sourced meals that were both fresh and flavorful. Sitting on the terrace, sipping tea, and watching the clouds roll by was the perfect way to unwind. It's an ideal retreat for anyone looking to disconnect from the city's hustle and bustle and reconnect with nature. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and will definitely be returning.

Huating Homestay is an absolute delight. The moment we stepped in, we were captivated by the beautiful, well-kept garden full of flowers. The room was spotlessly clean, cozy, and had a very warm, homey feeling. The host was the highlight of our trip. The hotel itself is stunning—modern, clean, and surrounded by breathtaking nature. But what made our trip extra special was Lucas, one of the most responsible and helpful staff we’ve ever met! From the moment we arrived, Lucas took care of everything for us. He helped us plan the perfect itinerary, booked our tickets to Tianmen Mountain and Zhangjiajie Forest Park (no queues, no hassle!), and even arranged amazing seats for the cultural show. Thanks to him, we didn’t have to worry about a single thing—just pure enjoyment! Lucas was always patient, professional, and full of great recommendations. He made sure we had the best experience possible, whether it was suggesting the best photo spots or arranging transport. His attention to detail and warm hospitality really stood out! The hotel’s location is perfect, the rooms are cozy, and the views are just unreal. Waking up to misty mountains every morning felt like a dream! The country retreat is conveniently located on a farm about a 20 minute drive from the main gate of Zhangjiajie National Park. The hotel offers complimentary pick up and drop off from the train station and the main gate of the National Park so we did not have any issues getting around. The hotel rooms are beautifully decorated and we woke up to views of the mountains. It was lovely to retire back to our hotel after a busy day at the crowded National Park. The hotel also had a swimming pool for guests. The weather was cold during our stay so we did not need to use the pool to cool off. The farm grows its own rice and raises its own ducks. The ducks roaming around the farm are a fun sight to see. The hotel restaurant serves simple and delicious Chinese and western cuisine. They also had a professional coffee machine and made us complimentary coffees to order daily. Every night, the hotel cooks sweet potatoes and other local cakes and snacks on a large grill for guests to enjoy. We can not thank Robin / Luobin enough for taking care of us during our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a luxurious and peaceful retreat in the mountains when visiting Zhangjiajie.

Best host ever!! Not enough words to describe how wonderful our stay was and to what extent the host went to making us feel welcomed and ensure our trip went smoothly. We landed way earlier than expected at the airport but the host already arranged for timely pick up and upon reaching at the hotel, accomodated us in the room. On top of that, made brunch to welcome us. We already had our tickets to the national forest park but the host provided a customised route based on our entry point to the park. The route plan was so detailed, we got around really easily while visiting everything we wanted. I’m also vegetarian and had lunch and dinner at the property everyday. The host even customized some menu items to make them vegetarian so I can enjoy different types of meals!! The hotel is in a great location, providing an extraordinary view of the mountains. We were lucky to enjoy the spectacular views in different weather conditions during our stay. Located at a proximity to the Zhangjiajie National Forest park, it takes only around 10 mins to reach the South gate and around 30 mins to reach the East gate. Note that the host also provides free shuttle to the park but I also wanted to update on the DIDI comment. Didi is accessible to and from the location. Hotel is also equipped with modern facilities and very well maintained. After a visit to the surrounding attractions, soaking in the jacuzzi while enjoying the views was so relaxing. Overall would definitely recommend and surely come back again during winter to enjoy snow and the mountains.

Amazing staff which was really helpful and super kind! They were really attentive and asked us beforehand what we would like for breakfast. We arrived quite late and they even offered us dinner. The facilities were new and clean. The pool is amazing. Big thank you to Miss Li who made us feel like home!
